TV Parlemen in brief
TV Parlemen is a limited broadcast television production unit under the Public Relation and Publication Bureau of the Secretariat General of DPR RI. It was officially launched on 8 January 2007 by the Speaker of DPR RI at that time, H.R. Mr. Agung Laksono.
TV Parlemen has gradually managed to begin its operations by broadcasting plenary meetings live, reporting commissions’ and other complementary organs’ meetings, and producing dialogue/talk show programs.
The TV Parlemen programs can be watched on Plasma TVs that are spread around the DPR RI complex and on live streaming in www.dpr.go.id and www.mpr.go.id especially for a live program of MPR RI’s meetings, and also on national television networks that relay the TV Parlemen broadcast.
Tasks and Functions
Disseminating information related to the ideas, policies, activities and decisions of the parliament to the people of Indonesia and abroad.
Accommodating and passing the information related to the aspirations, responses and expectations of the people to the parliament.
Promoting the understanding and the practice of democracy that is healthy and beneficial for the life of the nation, the state and the people as well as educating the nation, especially in the field of public political education.
