Parliament Condemns Terrorist Act in Moscow, Russia

PARLEMENTARIA, Jakarta – Several hundred people recently died in a terrorism-related explosion that took place in Moscow, Russia. Indonesian House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad expressed his deep condolences and strongly condemned the terrorist attack.
“I would like to once again express my deepest condolences and I strongly condemn the heinous terrorist act that happened recently against the people of the Russian Federation,” Dasco said to reporters in Jakarta, Sunday (24/3/2024).
“Therefore, once again, we convey our deepest sympathy, and I wish the people of Russia peace and comfort, and I pray for their strength in this difficult time,” said the Gerindra Party faction politician.
Sharing his condolence message on the terrorist attack, Dasco stressed that terrorism is unacceptable anywhere.

"We hope that the people of Russia can overcome this ordeal as they move forward," he added.
The number of casualties in the mass shooting that took place at a concert hall in Moscow, Russia, has risen to 133. Over 100 others were injured in the ISIS-claimed attack.
As reported by the BBC, Russia has charged four men allegedly involved in the deadly concert hall attack in Moscow, which claimed the lives of at least 137 people.
Three persons were brought to a Moscow court wearing blindfolds while another one brought in a wheelchair. All four were charged with committing an act of terrorism.
The Islamic state group claimed responsibility for the attack in Crocus City Hall on Friday in a video post. Russian officials also claimed the involvement of Ukraine in the attack despite the lack of evidence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to track down and punish those responsible for the attack. The president described the attackers as “global terrorists” and indicated his intention to cooperate with any state wishing to defeat the shared enemy.
“All the perpetrators, organizers, and those who ordered this crime will be justly and inevitably punished. Whomever they are, whoever is guiding them.” Putin reiterated. (rdn)
